Item Translations?

I'm sure PSO2 will get a US version some time this century. Meanwhile there is a patch and this is the forum where you can discuss it and get help with issues.

If i knew how to make a dll then i would take a stab at it. I probably need to learn some C first.

I'd honestly be worried about the fact that having a .dll inject a translation over a server sided function seems like something Sega would be able to detect pretty easily.

I'd be wary of using something like that.

Its not really replacing a game fuction. Th game pulls the jp string normally. The script just attaches the table it its saved in and replaces it. Just put a disclaimer on it since it is dll based

I hope to see this become a reality.

its like the item.prs on psobb.. its a file thats loaded on login so they can edit weapons on the fly more than likely. i think theres more to this than just editing the text lol.

I don't think so. I only saw the item name strings and nothing else. The item descriptions weren't even in this table I found. Besides, I doubt editing the client side stats of a weapon would make much of a difference anyway.

That file is compressed so I don't know honestly. If we can decompress, change, and recompress then maybe it would make a difference?
