psumods.co.uk WAS cancelled. Changes incoming instead

Postby Chikinface » Wed Apr 02, 2014 6:56 pm

I have canceled the domain as i see no point in paying for it for the maintenance of 2 threads. Nothing else of worth is really ever posted on these forums for the purpose of modding PSU or anything particularly interesting about PSO2 lately either.

The domain will expire on the 15th.

This is not the end of the English Patch or work on the PSU offline projects. Those will move elsewhere and should be announced here before the site expires.

Had a good run at least barring the spam. Still gonna follow the current projects wherever those may end up, I do enjoy seeing how things are going on the PSU patch every once in a while. A lot of this could still just be discussed on a free forum or something anyway.

are you keeping the forums on a server with a free domain or a subdomain at-least?

You would've done well to post this a day earlier. Hah.

Still gonna watch the AotI expansion wherever that ends up.

Hah, well it might as well have been on the 1st now.

Due to billing complications I didn't expect the domain will continue for another 2 years. However, the site may undergo some changes shortly regardless to try to make things a bit more streamlined. Afterall, there still are really only 2 threads that are worthwhile.

Can't say I'm really surprised. Spammers aside, activity has been slowly going down so the writing's been on the wall for a while. I'm more surprised there's an actual announcement concerning this.

Is the old forum (with all the CE code-tables) still going to be preserved? Regardless, the old forums are still up even if there's no longer a link to them anymore: archives/index.html

Backup whatever relevant data for yourself while you still can if you're paranoid.

Only thing I'd want is itemlist.txt but I'm not that interested to dig in the archive for it, heh.

The forum will live as long as the domain does, the lease ends on March 2016. I'll only renew if things are still active, I mean there's hardly much point planning that far ahead as goodness knows what's gonna happen in 2 years.
