Believe it or not, Minecraft is pretty demanding CPU wise compared to what you think, it's far more bloated then it was back in Alpha and Beta.

Pretty funny people are talking about RAM and CPU speed when the OP mentioned neither of these. The only thing we know about is the graphics card which is... dated..

OP if you've not tried already, ask at the minecraft forums. Expect people to take the piss out of your old graphics card there too, mind. Minecraft looks simple, but it is a deceptively resource hungry game. If the rest of your PC is as good as your graphics card then you're going to struggle to play it even if you do resolve that error.

There's a reason why I didn't mention anything about the GPU: It clearly says in the OP, what must be done.

I'm suggesting getting a better CPU and more RAM for insurance.
Windows 95 is better than Windows 7, because 95 is a higher version number than 7.
